We are now come back to Sweden and 2 degree Celsius is very cold when we came from a place that was 30 degree. In this post we would like to show pictures of our vacation. Of course we took a chance to travel around when we were in Thailand. The best thing was we did not need lots of budget to be able to travel around. :-)

Hau Hin

Hua Hin is Thailand's oldest beach town resort. Situated on the west coast of the Gulf of Thailand and only 200 kilometers from the capital, Bangkok. Hua Hin became popular with the Royal Family following the construction of the southern railway in the 1920's, travel became more accessible.

In a temple at the end of Hau Hin beach there are lots of monkeys live there.

Cilmara with friendly tourist polices, they went around and talked with tourists. When we were in Thailand we felt safe.

If you like seafood this place is just right for you.

It's obvious that there are swedish people living here, the road name is in Swedish.

We stayed in a hotel which the owner had been living in Sweden.

There are many small crabs here.

Beautiful train station in Hau Hin.

Krabi

Krabi, a province on southern Thailand’s Andaman coast, is an almost otherworldly region of labyrinthine archipelagos, where islands seem to erupt vertically out of the sea and secluded beaches are only accessible by colorfully adorned long tail boats. Krabi’s myriad of bays and coves have sheltered pirates, merchants, and sea gypsies for thousands of years and archaeological evidence indicates that Krabi was originally inhabited as early as 25,000 - 35,000 years ago!

Breakfast with sea view.

This is the beach which the film "The beach" has been filmed.

Long tail boats everywhere.

Good to know when when you are near Andaman sea in Thailand.

Here can we see lots of rubber tree plantation.

Floating Market

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a notable floating market in Ratchaburi, Thailand, and a major tourist destination. The floating market at Damnoen Saduak is the old traditional way of selling vegetables, fruits, etc. from a small boat. Produce sold includes Malacca grape, Chinese grapefruit, mangoes, bananas, and coconuts.

Last week in Pang Mod Dang Village
After four weeks of data collecting here in Pang Mod Dang Village we need to move to a bigger city to write our essay because we need better internet and a more convenient place to stay. It has been a wonderful experience for us to be here, it is such a fantastic place with such a wonderful people. This has been an unforgettable experience that will enrich our life in many ways. We would like to thank all the participants that shared their experiences with us, your openness and welcoming spirit made it possible for us to do our schools job. We would like to sincerely thank all the nurses, who have taken their valuable time to help us with the study. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, knowledge and experiences with us!

It's so nice to be able to buy fruits and vegetables from the locals, cheap, fresh and organic. The whole kilogram super sweet and and fresh mango cost 15 baht = 4 SEK.

On international night at LuleĆ„ Technology University we allowed to use the faster internet at Pang Mod Dang healthcare center.

Wherever where we are exercise is a must for us. The same prestation as in Sweden, but two times more sweat when it is 31 Celcius degree here in Thailand.

A beautiful scenery of the rice field

A pile of medicine for diabetes patients. There are many familiar names as in Sweden, metformin, enalapril, simvastatin

Curious swedish nursing students are doing observations at the health care center.

We are having fun playing with newborn puppies. What a cuties.

Mulberry for free. Here in Thailand mulberry tree grow wild and everyone can pick. Lucky for us. :-)

Patients home visiting

Friday, August 28, 2015

On the weekend we are backpackers. This time take we a bus to Chiang Rai, a province nearby. We visit a tea plantation and beautiful temples there.

With friendly health care professionals in Pang Mod Dang health care center. We have been given a warm welcome from everyone there.

Documentation there are different and there is not much they document on computers. It writes mostly on paper.

This is how a medicine room looks like. They do need an air conditioner in the room because most medicine need to be stored in the temperatuure below 25 C. It's 30 C + almost all the time here.

On home visits to patients, we tested measuring blood pressure with an old model blood pressure cuff used here.
